The star has given the full amount of his £25k honor winnings to the MVT, which operates to protect the UK's small concert spaces.
Fender was presented with the cheque on mid-October as his latest record the album was named the outstanding release of the last 12 months.
The musician has chosen to hand the money over to the MVT, in appreciation of the essential function small stages fulfilled in his early career.
"I personally wouldn't be doing my current career if it hadn't been for all the performances I did around the region, and beyond, when I was just getting going," stated Fender. "These venues are iconic, but they are facing challenges."
From early 2023 onward, over 150 of these venues have ceased operations – approximately 16 percent of the entire UK sector.
Over the past year, well-known musicians including Pulp, the group Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the Music Venues Trust in its attempts to help venues survive, by including a small levy to their admission fees, which supports independent venues.
He also participated, generating in excess of £100,000 on his live tour to help thirty-eight local spots across the UK.
The money helped venues that were facing imminent closure due to challenges arising from floods, fires and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and noise complaints.
Additional spaces were granted monetary aid in improving infrastructure and sound and lighting systems that positively impacted artists and fans.
"The notion that funds from concerts in large arenas helps the smaller venues, where it begins for musicians like me, is just common sense," Fender has commented.
He is not the first artist to donate his award prize money to good deeds.
When the band won the prize in 1996 for their release their work, vocalist Jarvis Cocker declared that the band would give their prize money to the organization War Child.
In 2002, rapper and singer Ms Dynamite split her bounty among multiple charities, like the NSPCC and a charity for Sickle Cell.
"Additionally, I donated a £1,000 to Highgate Newtown, to their classes, because I practiced gymnastics when I was a child and they lacked updated gear," she shared with outlets.
Two years ago, Ezra Collective gave their winnings to the youth organization that nurtured their band, alongside other grassroots music organisations.
Additionally 1994 winners the group donated their winnings to a charity for MS after a close contact was diagnosed the condition.
"Receiving the award was ample," remarked vocalist Small. "The prize was the cherry on top but we could do without the bonus, because we had the main prize. So our success touched another person's life."
In the past week, the MVT shared it had protected several grassroots venues in south-east England, by placing them under local control.
The Joiners in the city and the other in that location were bought under the community ownership program, which is funded by the arts council and enthusiasts who buy "shares" in the properties.
